how can i fix my renault clio campus 1.2 boot lock?

how can i fix my renault clio campus 1.2 boot lock? the boot will not catch when it is shut leaving the boot open at all times. it just bangs shut and bounces back up?

mine has just done this today, dont know what to do, is it the solenoid ? because i cant here a noise now when i press the central locking button, ive read a few posts on other sites but dont know whats best to start with first or the cheapest fix ?
