If you are refering to the Engine Management Light (EML) it tells you the Engine Control Module (ECM) has detected a sensor or actuator which has gone outwith parameters and/or is implausible.
A fault code should be stored in the ECM memory.
You might be able to do the paperclip test on this car to read the fault code(s).

http://www.allcorsa.co.uk/forums/showthread.php/do-paper-clip-8479.html

Remember that a fault code does not necessarily mean the relevant part is broken and needs replaced. It just gives you a starting point for further investigation.

The main drawbacks of the paperclip test are that it reads ALL codes stored in memory, many of which may not be present, and it cannot clear stored codes.

If you sign up with allcorsa and/or

someone might be able to help you.
