What is Rosetta for macbook?

many of my programmes on my standard macbook say i need to install rosetta...when i try to install rosetta it says i already have it :S Whats going wrong?

Rosetta is a CPU emulator.

Looks like you want to use some OLD programms.

For all those programms, try to get more recent versions made for your Intel Mac. You'll get much beter performances.
