Had the same problem with my daughters d500 phone and I read on another site to bash the phone quite hard against a table battery side down.I tried this while it was switched on and it actually worked. It tookjust 2 bashes, you must try this.

You will probably find that the ribbon cable has perished this is fitted inside the phone and connects the top to the bottom of the phone, unless you have the tools to part the phone you will not be able to repair it yourself, I took mine to a mobile phone repairer and cost me £24 Hope this helps
