My Zanussi zwf1621 Front Loading washing machine sticks mid-cycle?

The machine seems to take on water, runs through some of the cycle but then stops at some random point, the green light flashes continually and I have to manually move the wash onto whatever I guess the next stage of the cycle might be (drain/rinse/spin) Also, it sometimes seems to move towards a big spin and then thinks better of it, slows and then stops. Expect it is terminal but anyone any ideas/experience similar.

Hi, I have a John Lewis machne which is apparently Zanussi and it is operating similar to yours, it is only 3.5 years old. It is commencing a cycle then part way through stops and the digital tinmer reverts to the start position but the machne is stalled. Like you I am then manually, draining, spinning etc. At one point an error code of E52 popped up but now no error codes or any explanation. I think this sounds like the circuit board?
