cagiva 125.2000 model.9000 mls.the bike starts fine and engine runs fine but on tickover it sounds like its got a badly adjusted tappet.the noise comes from the top of the head and completely dissapears when the engine is revved slighty.anyone got any ideas what it could be.cheers chaps.

weak mixture causing overheating causing pre-ignition, wrong grade spark plug, poor or low quality/grade fuel, old fuel, carbon build-up in combustion chamber remove cylinder head to check and/or decoke.
