HOW TO ADJUST MY TECUMSI LINKAGE?

i have a sears 143.366022 ser.61500 riding mower
8hp tecumsi engine
i had to remove the carberator to replace the float and leaking gasket, i doing so i have to disconnect the linkage.
now i don't remember exactly how to hook it back up correctly.
i did not touch any of the adjustment screws, but we did bend the linkage gov. to throttle wire. i don't know if this part of my problem.
i thought all i had to do is hook the following;
wire from gov.lever to throttle lever on carb.
short spring from gov.lever to control lever
long spring from control lever to gov.rod(attached to choke/throttle assembly).
choke/throttle assmbly mounts ontop of throttle and choke with the lever in the choke notch.
I SURE COULD USE A PICTURE BETTER THAN WORDS.
I HAVE PARTS IN PLACE BUT ONLY CAN GET ENGINE TO IDLE, IF I TRY TO MOVE ANYTHING IT FLOODS OUT.
something is still wrong.
a step by step intruction may help.
if need be. please just call me toll free. 1-800-330-8791 al

The engine on your tractor is a Tecumseh TVM195-150134L
You can download the service manual for that engine by copy and paste this link into your address bar.

http://www2.unstable.org:8080/tehcumseh/692509.pdf

You will find the diagram you need under "Governors and Linkage" in that manual.
