how can i get my freezer high tempreture light off?

I have same problem only i also have water leakage from underneath the freezer have tried emptying freezer also filling up but light still remains on its a hotpoint fidge freezer model number ffa71

The red light is normaly a warning sign that the freezer is above the recomended safe temperature for that unit...it may still be cold as far as you can tell but it's not at or below the safe zone. This could be you have a system fault or blockage and given that only specialist refrigeration engineers are now allowed to carry out any system work involving breaking into the system and regassing the unit it could be very expensive. My advise call out an engineer or replace the unit SORRY!
P.S.
If you have water or ice under a freezer it is usualy an indication that the insulation is faulty and this is not repairable so you would need a new unit anyway.
