How can I remove an old and bad repair from crockery?

I have an old green teapot which has a mangled repair. I need to remove the old glue before attempting to repair it. any ideas on the best way to do this, please?

Try using paint stripper if it is a resin repair. Please remember to use gloves and safety glasses as paint stopper can be very nasty if it gets on your skin or in your eyes. Best of luck.
