I Had an issue where unit came up error 4. (Which is too much water in the overfill evaporation tray which makes a float activate a switch to put it into this mode). Tried all the fixes we'd been doing for the last couple of years - IE. tilt machine, clean internal filters etc. (which usually do work). However this time it was spewing water all over the floor every time it was started. I pulled it apart, cleaned the float (located on the left hand side of the unit) and checked the inlet valve, it was functioning. Still had water filling the tray and tripping the float switch (Error 4) Just as the unit was starting to power blast. I decided to open the other side - Checked that the drain pump was pumping, no cracks of splits anywhere in the housing when all of a sudden I noticed the hose that feeds the top rotary arm from the heater element had popped off. (didn't actually look like it was ever put on fully. So I replaced it's crimp clamp with a worm drive clamp and put it back on. So far so good. I also noticed that a few of the hoses were starting to look a little perished - so we ordered some new ones. Just a thought if anyone comes across it, might save a costly bill and frustration. Our unit would be about 2-3 years old.
