vw caddy wont start?

my x reg vw caddy was low on diesel then just cut out i put 5 gallon in it still wont start.and when i checked the oil it was bone dry .is there a saftey cutt off switch thst cuts engine out when out of oil when turning the engine over there is air bubbles in the diesel line

Can anyone help, my 2007 caddy sdi wont start. Its had new battery, new glow plugs been serviced and had new filters, it runs fine when going, when its cold it struggles to start and drains the new battery? or should I just get rid?

My 53 plate caddy van won't start. It turns over and starts then cuts straight out. Think it is a electrical fault.
