the car is reving to 3 and a ahalf thousand revs but my turbo is not cutting in.its a mercedes c250 td 1999.could this be electrical fault,it started to do it at various times like loosing power then the turbo just quit cutting in.its just like driving a straight 250 with no turbo.

Damien, it sounds like your air flow meter is kaput. The car automatically goes into a "safe mode" which means it wont rev beyond 3000 and the turbo wont give boost. Its a easy fix and the air flow meter is not expensive.
