My 1996 escort heater blower and air cond will not work at all,?

My 1996 escort heater blower and air cond will not work at all,on odd occassions it has begain working again as though ok,but it has been dead for a while.If anyone has any ideas i'd appreciate it.The fuse box fuses appear ok and the switch seems alright.

Just a thought, could be way off though...

Does your fan blow on max, but on no other setting? If so, this is caused by a faulty ballast, which can be bought from Fords for a few pounds. In the Mondeo the ballast is kinda behind the glovebox. They have a tendancy to burn out!
