the battery is charged but the electric start does not work i have checked fuses and it still starts with kick start.

Try connecting a length of wire direct from the + on the battery to the + or red wire on the starter motor, make sure the ignition is on, This should turn the starter motor over, if not it's the starter motor at fault.(beware as they may be a few sparks)
