How can I disarm my BMW 1995 540i alarm?!?

I bought this BMW from a storage unit. I had NO key so I got a new one cut from a BMW dealership. Now that I have this new key the car won't start. I hook up my BRAND NEW battery and the Alarm gets triggered and NOTHING happens with the engine! This is sooo frustrating I have NO idea what to do?!
