where do i put this?

had service at local ford dealer yesterday with my 56 plate ford focus 2.0l tdi. i have an engine system fault light on. he told me that it was fluid that is sent into the cat converter to clean it out. he said it would cost £75 per litre for the fliud and i need 2 litres then £100 for them to do it as its highly corosive.
can get liquid from local car parts dealer for £8 per litre but where does it go??? help dont want to spend £245...

if your motor has a particulate filter,it is a good chance you need this fluid,cerine/eolys,and may have to go to the main dealer to have it regenerated, but you could try having a good run in low gears and high revs to get the exhaust really hot and try burning off the carbon deposits yourself

i think they are having a laugh mate,i have never heard of putting anything in a cat,you could try some the additives that you see in shops you put in it petrol or diesel tank.it cleans the pistons and bores,(or so they claim).and its a hell of a lot cheaper,
