I have had quite a few problems with ours and different so called engineers telling me all sorts until i got hold of these guys at www.agsrefrigeration.co.uk. they were straight to the point with their cost before they even attended in the end im glad to say they came out found and fix the fault and everything has being working fine since.

I suffered a similar problem with my E522 fridge freezer. The freezer operated fine but the fridge lost all cooling.

I took the back panel off and found that the slots either side of the fan had completely frozen up with ice. I defrosted these by slowly pouring warm water down them and catching the resulting water in the plastic evaporating tray above the compressor at the back. Reassembled and the fridge burst back into life.

We get the same problem, the freezer bit behind the back cover is full of ice. SO much that it stops the fan from turning. A good defrost fixes it.

This is an utterly non-technical reply, but hope it helps. Could be lots of things but we have one of these fridges and when we had a similar problem found that turning it off for a day (or longer) fixed it. Apparently there was a build-up of ice somewhere inside that was stopping whatever it is that makes it cold from working properly and making it overheat. Quite a bit of water came out the bottom after it was turned off. I know that this isn't an attractive solution but it's cheaper than buying a new fridge. I also know that they are supposed to self-defrost, but hey, it worked.
The thermostat could also have gone, have to get the technician out for that one.
Good luck.
