05 citroen c3 1.4 desire, without any indication that any problems where looming, the engine management light came on. As a result the car would not rev above 2000rpm. Unsafe to use when in so called safe mode.

Managed to get the car to a local tec at the garage who diagnosed the throttle body assembly.

After reading through other c3 owners with the same problem, I asked him to double check, when he did he found a broken wire on the extended wiring loom from the n/s to the o/s of the car.This wiring extends to the accelerator pedal.
Since he as bypassed the these broken wires the car has been driving okay, except on low revs around town
when the light has flickered on.
I have taken the car back and he has flashed the ECU
as he thinks it could be residual memory stored by the ECU and it is sending the wrong information out.Time perhaps will tell.

Anyone with any info I would be obliged.
