the heater strips inside the tumble have snaped, is this the reason why my tumble dryer wont heat up? if so what can i do to fix the problem?

if everything else works then yes .i have just changed my heater unit £53 but have another fault with flashing lights .i followed the link to hotpoint-spares.com and click on tumble dryer ,scroll down to the model no ,and then the heater unit.make sure you check witch wattage you need .
