turn on at wall knocks all house electric off?

the belt snapped on my creda tvr2 tumble. i fitted a new belt but now when u turn it on at the plug it trips off all the electric in the house. anyone got any ideas what ive done? I think its either the motor or the control panal but hey im no electriction.thanks

check the pulg first , make sure that the wires are tight, and not hitting of each other, then turn off all power, open the socket that you have it pluged into , and check that the wireing is tight, (have ALL power offf) when working on this, its not the belt thats makeing the power trip, if the belt is the right size, its some were along the wireing that the problem is..
