zone open message?

First time setting up SCANTRONIC 9651. I have programmed zones 2,3,4,5,6,7,8 as not used. When come to set it says zone open on them

i agree alarm guy,but to his credit he did say he not use it before,was same with the 9800 nick i had 3 fail,not go on the engineering prog,but touch wood never had a fail on the 9651,scantronic must be the easiest panels to prog if you you used to them,

Hi GTS i virtually never have issues with the 9651, ive had 2 fail on me last year, which i think was just unlucky, failed on install. He wont respond, because he has no idea what we are talking about,

Check you havent programmed them by mistake as 2k2 4k7 if you have programmed them out for sure, then either the door or detector is still open circuit, use a multi-meter to check. If that dosent solve things the only other reason is a short between your +loop and the tamper.

do same for other zones.
