vectra b auto gear selector removal?

need to get to the sport mode wires
chris greaves, May 2011
Hi thanks to all who helped with a reply, worked out you have to remove the dimpled tray in front of the hand brake first. This then exposes the two retaining screws to the gear selector cowl. On removing this i found when opperating the leaver the wires to the sport mode switch were rubbing on a retainer clip. this had caused the blue wire to break. a new conector fitted and wires re rooted and problem solved. hope this helps anyone else.

It's my guess that as the sport light is flashing you think it's the switch. If so then trouble codes will need to be read and results acted upon. The switch is a push to contact type and the computer switches the mode. For box fault www.fedauto.co.uk
