Hi folks. I`ve a wee cg125, 2005, only 6000mile, starts first time on full choke, after 30seconds down to half. But thats it, even after 10mile 0f riding at 50mph if you turn the choke right off it stops, will not tick over, changed oil, spark plug, (old one was very black..ie rich), air filter, set valve clearances. Any ideas?????

sounds like the main jet's blocked as the engine's trying to run on the starter jet alone. remove float bowl and check for muck/water, unscrew jets and blow through with compressed air or foot pump, also check float pivots easily and the float needle isn't stuck in the needle jet.

Have you checked the tick over speed? plug would be black, if running on choke. Try keeping the revs up a bit, while you turn the choke down, if it runs, tick over speed. otherwise something in carb wrong
