citroen c5 clutch squeeling?

i have a 1.8 citroen c5 and the clutch is squeeling can the thrust bearing just be replace or do i need a new clutch bearing in mind the clutch works fine

thrust bearing is worn. its such a big job to get to clutch, that to remove gearbox and just fit bearing would be false economy. its 15 mins more work and about £100 more. would cost a lot more to remove gearbox again to replace clutch in a few months.
