HEATER MOTOR PROBLEM ALMERA 2.2DCI SXE

Can anyone help with this problem.
My heater blower gave out last week, on replacing the fuse it blows straight away. On taking it into a local garage was told to obtain a replacement heater motor, this has not cured the problem, on the housing of the heater motor of the replacement part is a space for a resistor (Resistance-electric, 271504M401) this space or resistor is not present on my original part. After an extensive search for the resistor it has remained unfound, on phoning Nissan they say it should be there?? can anyone help please?
