vw rear door jammed?

i have a 51 plate golf that the back door will no longer open or unlock, I have taken it to a garage who said they couldnt remove the door card ... would appreciate any advice thanks

You need to take it to a VW garage. They'll be used to replacing them and will be able to get the door open to do it.
