how can i unlock the boot of my nissan micra?

How can I unlock the boot of my Nissan Micra S 2004, it doesn't respond to the remote or the switch unside the car. The driver's door and passenger door both respond to the remote.

The easy answer is to remove the fuse from the imobiliser, re-insert it, then press the remote 'open' button.....the boot should then open. You will still have the problem though. The Nissan dealer will charge a heavy price to have it repaired/replaced, so do what I did. I bought a universal rocker switch, soldered wires to the terminals and then soldered a fuse holder into one of the wires, inserted a 15 amp fuse. Soldered 2 spade connectors to the ends of the wires and removed the 15 amp fuse from the fuse compartment and inserted the spade connectors into the fuse sockets. When I want to open the boot all I do is operate the switch to shut off the power to the immobiliser, switch it back on and press the remote. Boot opens. There should be a blank switch socket to the right of the steering column you can use to place the switch in.

you have to fold down the rear seats and climb in to the boot. prise off the cover of the latch(small plastic rectangle piece)under here you will see a white release switch -just move it up with your finger or a small pen and you will release the boot open.

Sounds like the micro switch on the boot lid. Try unplugging switch & shorting out the terminals in the plug. If it pops open then a new switch is required.

2004? Take it to your Nissan dealer. Nissan do a 3 year 60,000 mile warranty on their cars.
