How easy is it to access the front bearing pads on White Knight 447?

There is a fairly loud rubbing/rattling noise coming from the front of my White Knight 447. It's loudest when the drum starts spinning or changes direction and gets a bit quieter when the drum has picked up speed.

Apart from the noise the machine works fine.

I thought it was a slack belt but running it with the top off shows the belt is fine and the noise is coming from the front of the machine. I think it's likely that the front bearing kit needs replaced but I want to have a look at it before ordering the part.

I've got the service manual for the drier and looking at it it seems that it is just a case of unscrewing the back panel and pulling it back with the drum attached to expose the front bearing.

Is this all there is to it or is there anything else I need to look our for?

you need to disconnect all the wiring to the heater if you want to totally remove the drum.Make a note where they all go or take a photo before you disconnect them!.1st off remove the small panel at the bottom back where the vent hose comes out.check that the fan motor plastic cover is not loose catching on the motor shaft.also it could be a broken fan inside that housing rattling around making the noise.the plastic bearings clip in to the front banjo
