caravan leak?

I have a Bailey touring caravan and had a small water leak in the roof, during the winter.I have fixed the leak (hopefully),but the leak has made the interior roof panel soft.Is there anything i can inject into the panel to make it more sound.I think it is the insurlation behind the panel that's been damaged.Hope for some help thanks.

Hi, sadly it is easy to assume that there has been minimal damage caused by a water leak, because you cannot see what is going on behind the panels, but I assure you that the water that has ingressed will continue to do it's dirty work and you would be well advised to strip off a panel and check. Not an easy job I know, but if you value your caravan I honestly recommend that you do some investigative work, it will save you a shed-load of grief later. Also you will be able to track for certain where the water entered, rather than assume that you got the right place. Good luck with it anyhow.

Thanks Bob for you reply i will see what happens when its dried out.

Answer NO...... you just have to let it dry out. Unfortunately the roof panel will buckle (if not already) as ours did.
Replace is cure but not an easy job.
