Answer: the fan itself is tough to get to. When that's accomplished - wrap a heavy cloth around the cooling fan on the opposite end & just be assured - the suction fan has left handed thread, so tap firmly on the broken fan blades with a (best idea) rubber mallet, remembering to pound for left-handed thread. Good luck. My fan threads had been hot. So they didn't cooperate to well when I tried to screw off the fan. But I finally got it off. Keep in touch.
