how can I replace the door hinge on Hotpoint Aquarius 1100 (WM63P)?

Having removed the door from the machine since the hinge broke, how do I fit the new hinge into the hinge bearings? Do I need to open the two door skins enclosing the glass, and if so, how?

your hinge unscrews from the front of the cabinet and then just pull it through the slot unscrew the old hinge off the door replace it and with it on the door feed it backthrough the slot and re-screw it on to the washer
