The only part of the wiring that will make the engine not run is the kill wire. Just disconnect it (it will be a single wire coming out from under the cowling). With a meter on the now disconnected harness wire, check that there is open circuit to ground with the switch in 'RUN' or 'START', and a short to ground with the switch at 'STOP'. If that checks out, crank the engine and check for spark. If none, you have a duff coil.
