My Siemens vacuum cleaner is overheating ?

My Siemens vacuum cleaner is overheating and does not work well. What is at fault? I have washed all filters but the problem persists

The motor draws in air which after passing through the dust bag and the filters is passed over the motor itself to cool it.

The motor may be overheating because of bad brushes, dirty bearings, worn commutator, blocked dust bag, restricted airway, blocked filters. The overheat safety cutout might be defective giving a false indication of overheating.
