mechanical issues with my car?

i have a ford mondeo Ghia X 130BHP TDCI Duratorq and recently it has developed a loud hissing noise when the engine is under load on accelaration. i have noticed a decline in MPG and a stutter when running/travelling.
have you any ideas what is causing this?

Check turbo piping and intercooler for leaks/splits - boosted airflow can cause hissing and loss of power

have you checked the air filter sometimes they become so dirty they redcue air flow to the engine and the niose could be air trying to be sucked through
