i have a model gss25sgmcbs refrigerator ?

the refrigerator/freezer is getting warm the freezer has a lot of ice on the back panel, but i turned the freezer off. I recently replaced the motherboard, defrost thermostat and the defrost heater.

I replaced those parts because I had someone to come out and look at it and they said those were the parts that needed to be replaced....fridge worked for about 8 mos and started doing the same thing again. When I said I turned off the freezer side of the fridge i just put the thermostat dial on 0 for the freezer...the defrost thermostat was for the fridge...is there a separate one for the freezer? Once the refrigerator is unplugged for a day it will start back working good until the ice build back up in the freezer again then it starts to get warm again.

Not sure about what you are saying is the problem, Do not know thw particular model. but is similar to the samsung model I have. Do not know why you changed all those parts. I did not know it was possible to turn off completely the freezer, why get a fridge/freezer. turn off the ice making yes. Which defrost did you replace, probably the one in fridge, as that is the one that tends to go. probably one in freezer section as well, same reason as in fridge. As you are getting ice, and hot(I assume outside) compressor etc working, SO besides the ice in freezer, what is the problem, and why change all those parts?
