What is the purpose of the concrete blocks at the back of the cooker?

While removing the back of my Beko DC3521, a concrete block fell out, what purpose does this serve and is it necessary to replace it?.

if you where to pull the oven shelf out with a fat turkey on it might flip forward on top of you hence concrete at the back
