Timer on Tricity oven model# 2144?

The timer/clock on the oven has recently started to make
a very loud whirling/clicking noise, but the oven still works,as this is a very old oven i've been told the part is obsolete.
Can the clock be disconneceted,or would doing that stop the oven working

disconnecting the clock will stop the ovens working unless you link some of the wires that where attached to the clock back together to make a complete circuit. You would need to be good with a multimeter and tracing wiring to bypass the old timer but yes it can be done
