Yes there are two filters. one on top of the bin and one down beside the right hand wheel ( this is the pre filter ) which can be removed by pushing back the top clip and taking out the complete disc assembly. you are best to use compressed air to clean it as it takes ages to wash and remove the fine dust that has built up, to try the suction remove the bin assembly switch it on and feel the vacuum at the top fixed pipe this should be quite strong. good luck
