i have a 2001 peugeot speedfight 2 50cc in a morning it will not run. wont cold start i have brought a new automatic choke no luck still same well now the choke has stopted the carb from flooding so that must be a good thing once running n warm works mint fast but now my battery has gone flat and it wont start at all.I looked at the carb n there was white moouldey stuff around it so i cleaned it out and fresh petrol and nothink. Is this because the battery is flat or somethink else

could be that your battery is discharged possibly from trying to start the engine every morning, if you've got a normal lead/acid check electrolite level, top up with de-ionised water to upper line, needs trickle charging at around 0.6 Amps if your battery is a 2 Amp hour it will take just over 3 hours to charge (2 divided by 0.6) but could be longer if deep discharged. sounds like bad corrosion furring up the carb body remove float bowl clean out the carb jets & float needle jet check float pivots freely.
