First, remove the height selector slider (it just pulls off) and undo the hose from the cover (it twists and unlocks). Remove the top cover of the base by prying underneath on one side with a flatblade screwdriver. There are no screws holding it on the base, it just un-snaps. The easiest place to pry it is from the rear, near the wheels where there is a notch in the black base. Once one side is loose, you can pull the entire cover off by pulling upward. From there, you can work on the belt and brush roller.
