I have a Wolf Garten Scooter ride on lawn mower. The engine and propulsion work fine but the blades won't engage. All belts are rotating but the brake is not clamping to the drive shaft... any ideas ?

This unit has been stationary for some time and I am reconditioning it.

1: check the relais under the seat somewhere at the back right, perhaps one of them isn't working as it should?
2: you have to be sitting on the mower and the collection bag has to be in place (2 safety-switches)
3: on the steering wheel there's a switch 'ON', put it ON, then push 'START' the blade should engage
