How can I remove steering column from ldv pilot?

be careful not to allow weight of column to rest on lower bush [can make steering tight] best to remove lower bush/bearing first,i think there are 4 screws fixing it to bulkhead.just another point if you replace the 2 shear bolts fixing it to dash i'm pretty sure that on your year of van that they are a 5/16th unf thread.

1/2`` pinch bolt on top of steering box,remove driver side glove box,unplug wiring to ign.sw etc,you may have two shear bolts on upper column,generally can get these moving with a good cold chisel or drill them out,lower bolt on flange just a normal 1/2``,slide off splines on box and whole column should lift out.
