On the older models, inside the boot/hatch area on the side where the filler cap is there is a flap in the lining you can open to access the lock motor. You can then pull the locking pin back manually. You may have to feel around for it.
The flap may not be obvious if it has never been used, look for some perforations in the panelling and rip it open. It might be behind the cover for the jack/first aid kit.
If you cant find it you might try a Vauxhall garage, it will only take a tech a minute to get it open, but be aware they will probably try to sell you a new lock motor!
