hi i have a stannah 260 staiflift its about a 2005 model, it inly climbs the stairs about 20cm then the led 2 light comes on, i have checked the batteries and there are 24volts in them and seem to charge ok

can anyone help thanks

hi,,,,,led 2 on the main pcb means there is a volt drop on the lift....to test the main carriage batteries correctley is switch the isolator switch off on front of carriage then remove side cover to main pcb,,at the top of the pcb you will see red and black spade connectors which should be for your battery ,,test this with your volt meter to confirm this.....then secure the leads to these spade connectors ,,,swicth the isolator back on on front of carriage and run the stairlift up and hopefully you will see the voltage drop anything below a 3 to 4 volt drop will stop the stairlift.............regards ian,,,portsmouth/uk
