hi, the iron plate gets hot ,all the lights work on the selector panel yet no noise and no steam ,this is a new iron bought by my mum ,she couldnt find the receipt so went out and bought another iron ,I saved this one from being thrown away its brand new .can anyone help me ?Ive had one of these before its a great iron .

i have a reliable iron maven and it will not steam only after a few uses. the anti calc system light will not come on and the orange steam light will not come on. the iron heats up.

It might be a great iron, would be even better if you had said what make/model it was. Also, here's a tip, always keep the receipt in a place where you can find it again, Doh!
