looking for a spare part but not sure of the part name...it is the 'cup that fits into the centre of the canopy as it is opening up...where the string meets the 'bowl'

Don't know how to fix it. But, I have the same problem...

We can "make it work", one person pushes it up, the other winds the crank andit stays up. I suspect the gears are stripped. Am trying to find the manufacturer to see if I can buy replacement gears.
