Freezer trips rcd?

I have a Maytag side by side appliance and have just defrosted the freezer and now when I go to turn it back on it trips the house RCD

water must of got into the electrics when you defrosted it.assuming its an auto defrost then it m9ght be to do with this.drying the unit out MIGHT solve the issue.Warm air from a hair dryer in the right place might stop it tripping
