I have a vauxhall astra convertible bertone and recently it has started having the car alarm go off for no good reason........ it is intermitent, sometimes it will not go off for hours, then goes off all the time and does not even stop. Any ideas as to why this may be happening.

Always check if all doors and windows shutting ok, when opening doors and boot etc does the courtesy lights go on and back off when closing each door ok? If a single courtesy light stays on that is the fault, possibly just a door switch if it does stay on - easy and cheap to replace, or it could be a bonnet switch (sometimes built into the lock) If not this take to a good garage!
