No power steering. No power at connector. Following back from connector there is a solid state relay. This relay is working fine. If I put live feed onto pump wires, the pump works OK. There seems to be no live feed onto the solid state switch terminals. Does anyone know where this feed comes from?

Yes the feed comes from the engine ecu you will need to get it to a diagnostic auto electrician.
