Optima Accenta G3 Alarm System?

Recently moved into a house with this system installed and have just got round to attending to it.
The previous owners have had it disconnected due to what looks like a fault on the PCB, there is obvious heat damage to a resistor (R47) so I plan to start by replacing this. My problem is the heat damage has pretty much destroyed the idents, I know it's 470mOhms 5% but that's it. Anyone have info on this or the PCB in general? Thanks

The trouble is GTS customers just say, its been fine for the past 5 years or so. We are in a very specialist trade, and over the years dodgy companies come and go, but in the mean time fit rubbish equipment at top prices, The customer isnt aware what is good and what is bad in the alarm industry.
I do tell them that there system is Grade 1 and is of poor quality,
If Joe public want advice call me, If your looking at having an alarm installed, please do your home-work first.

Well done GTS for saying that, Ive been to a few 1/2 million quid houses this week to take over their alarms, and there on the wall was an Accenta in one and a Sterling 10 in another,
Both are a waste of time.

it never ceases to amaze me guys, people fork out lots of dosh on their house insurance, and then fit cheap crap to protect their home,????go figure!

I agree Scott with Acorn and GTS, The Accenta is an in-expensive domestic alarm panel, Just change it, they only cost about £30

Nick, July 2011
Ah, but what caused the burn out in the first place?

See answer below, replace the panel.

acorn, July 2011
not worth your time.if the resistor has been burned, then you can bet your life a few other comps are shot, its a cheap panel, buy a better one.
